Amelia Marie "Emmy" Rush
1943-02-02 2012-05-25Amelia Marie “Emmy” Solari Rush, 69, Kokomo, died at 5:05 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2012, in the Emergency Department of Howard Regional Health System. She was born Feb. 2, 1943, in Sommerville, Mass., to William C. and Ann F. (D’Ovidio) Solari Sr. On Dec. 14, 1963, she married Richard Rush, and he preceded her in death.
She had worked and retired in 2008 from Delco Electronics after 42 years of service. She graduated from Arlington High School in Arlington, Mass.
She attended St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Kokomo.
She is survived by a daughter, Rose Rush, Kokomo; a brother, William Solari Jr., Lebanon, N.H., and grandchildren, Parker and Sophia Rush.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard J. Rush, and son, Anthony Rush, on April 21, 2012.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kokomo. The Rev. Father Theodore Dudzinski will officiate. Burial will be at Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Shirley and Stout Funeral Home, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, and also one hour before the service at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Greentown Masonic Lodge No. 341.
