| Thomas F. Daly Jr., of Whitefield, NH, formerly of Gloucester, Reading and Arlington, Oct. 31st. Beloved son of the late Thomas F. and Alma L. (Chester) Daly. Loving father of Brian Daly and his wife Rachel of Woburn and Katie Agranat and her husband Theodore of CT. Grandfather of Alex and Sunny Agranat. Dear brother of Alma McLaughlin and her husband Bob of Gloucester, Carol Craig and her husband Paul of Rockport, Marilyn Breslin of Peabody and Mary Elaine Daly of Gloucester. Former husband of Julie Redfern of Reading. Favorite uncle of many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Tom was raised and educated in Arlington. He is a graduate of St. Agnes Grammar School and Arlington High School. He continued his studies at Western State College in Colorado. Upon his return from college, Tom joined his father at the family business, Daly Mills in Cambridge. He worked there for several years before venturing out on his own in the wholesale clothing business. He spent many summer days at his family cottage on Long Beach in Gloucester. Form an early age he developed a deep appreciation for the ocean and a love of boating. A former Downhill Ski Instructor, Tom also had a love for the mountain regions in New England. Tom was a man of deep faith. He was always there to lend a hand, had a quick wit and was loved by all that knew him. First and foremost, Tom was a family man who bestowed the value of life on his children. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Saturday Nov. 7th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated at St. Agnes Church in Arlington at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Arlington. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday Nov. 6th from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice |
