Marshall Derby may be best known as the Lexington Housing Assistance Board (LexHAB) chairman, a position he held for 15 years. He died Wednesday, May 16 at his home at age 64.
Marshall Derby always gave his friends laughter, retaining his sharp wit to the end of his battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was the husband of Constance D. (Steward) DeSimone. Bill was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on December 3, 1942. He is the son of the late Gabriel and Theresa (Rusci) DeSimone.

Judy was born in Boston on April 13, 1942, the daughter of the late Alice and Jerome Donovan. Joe (Jimmy) was a 1964 graduate of Harvard University. Joe was an achiever. He organized the first Harvard University Hockey Club Team, was a disciplined weightlifter and later became a trainer for the Washington Capitals.
Joe served as a Fighter Pilot and Captain in the US Air Force, stationed in Bitburg, Germany. After serving, Joe earned his MBA from Harvard Business School. His executive business career was extensive. In 1988 he founded and owned the student lending company, National Education.
